Vicar General, Father Romeo Convocar sends this message upon the sorrowful news of the passing of most holy Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

Sister Mary Monica Perez, 87, a Sister of Mercy for 70 years entered eternal life December 27, 2022. She was born in Agana, Guam, the first of six children of Ismael Cruz Perez and Ana Pangelinan. Sister Monica attended elementary school and the Academy Our Lady of Guam and later graduated from Sacred Heart College in Belmont, North Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education.

On behalf of Most Rev. Michael J. Byrnes, S.T.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of Agaña, we appoint Rev. Fr. Jeffrey C. San Nicolas as Interim Superintendent of Catholic Education effective January 2, 2023.
